Fleetie is on the App Store: what the iOS app does and what's next

The Fleetie app for iPhone and iPad is now on the App Store. If you run a fleet on Fleetie, your drivers can install it today and sign in with the account they already have.

What drivers get

The app puts the driver’s side of Fleetie in their pocket:

• Rota. Their shifts, the days marked TBC, and the routes published to them. A TBC day prompts them to confirm from a push notification, so nobody is chasing on WhatsApp the night before.
• Checks. Vehicle inspections done on the phone, against the van they have been assigned.
• Messages. The same conversations they have on the web, with new messages arriving as push notifications that open straight into the thread.
• Push notifications. Routes published, updated or cancelled, with per-type toggles so each driver controls what they see.

Everything a driver does in the app lands in the office view the moment it happens. There is no separate sync step and nothing to export.

What has not changed

The app has no sign-up screen on purpose. Companies register on the web at app.getfleetie.com, add their drivers, and each driver receives an invite to claim their account. Once claimed, that account works in the app, in the browser and in the installed web app alike.

Office-side work stays on the web for now: building the rota, managing vans, recruitment and the dashboard are all designed for a bigger screen.

Android

Android drivers use Fleetie from their phone’s browser today, and the installed web app gives them a home-screen icon and push notifications. A native Android app is in progress. We will post here when it reaches the Play Store.
